Valerie Lynch Napaltjarri (1970-) is an Aboriginal artist from Papunya Tjupi, an art center in the remote Northern Territory in the Western Desert region of Central Australia. Rather than being collected as curios and provided they were an appropriate size and shape, Chinese tea-leaf storage jars, tea bowls from Korea and northern Vietnam, and vases from central Vietnam joined or replaced the Chinese bronzes and ceramics that had previously been preferred for use in the tea ceremony.

Due to the volume and the quality of the entries, the gallery selected an additional 65 artists for Special Recognition awards. In addition to 23 etchings, the exhibition will include related drawings and watercolors, as well as some of the artist's tools, including five of his copper printing plates. This collection consists of eighty-six items, primarily letters, from American author Henry Miller (1891–1980) to Lois Cooling. McGregor Library of American History and the Clifton Waller Barrett Library of American Literature brought the University of Virginia to the forefront of institutions holding American literature collections.

The flagship building is located in downtown Palm Springs and features compelling art exhibitions, a vast permanent collection, and the 433-seat Annenberg Theater, all in a 150,000 square foot, architecturally-significant building. In addition to the working launching ways, the model is fitted with a full complement of spars, which have apparently never been fitted to the hull. Lying hidden away in Dennis Hopper's home until their discovery months after the artist's death in 2010, this collection of spectacular photographs, exhibited only once in 1969-70 at the Fort Worth Art Center Museum, is a testament to Hopper's prolific and enormous talent behind the camera.

Severud Associates was the structural engineering firm chosen for this project. I remember driving up to Paris in early 1962 to go to the American Library, to check out what was happening in New York by looking at recent issues of Art News. When the program was terminated in 1997, supporting visual materials came to the Smithsonian American Art Museum. A Harvard professor of Spanish and French and a founder of the Boston Public Library, George Ticknor developed this collection while traveling through Spain and Portugal in 1818.
