Bastien und Bastienne: light opera in one act by Mozart; first performed in 1768; story deals with a shepherdess in love with a shepherd. An excellent example can be found in movement II measures 80-81 where the inner strings (second violin and viola) along with flutes carry an especially unusual harmonic progression. Coming from a rich and musically talented family, Mendelssohn started his music career very early. It calls to mind calliope music played at fairs, circuses, or carnival midways, or maybe on merry-go-rounds or carousels.

With his usual speed the composer wrote all the music, then conducted the premiere towards the end of 1791 (two months before his death). He is also stating by example that music, above all, is important and significant, in particular with regard to the display of the individual mind in relation to society. The passage that precedes the final movement perhaps sums it up best. Musical Genius: A Story about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Again, most of the individual composers' stories show the great extent of their travels, their interactions with and influence upon one another.

In fact, even though he didn't invent it, Haydn is known as the "Father of the Symphony." It is referred to by this name because it's the more famous of two arias sung by the Queen Of The Night character in this opera. Looking at the names of Spanish composers of 1650-1750, we find not one of any special note. Ekker Bach, Beethoven and the Boys by David W. Verdi is considered one of the greatest opera composer of all time. Turnage's new Titian-themed ballet will be performed The Royal Ballet at Covent Garden in July as part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad.

Though the styles of both Mozart and Beethoven were different, they produced compositions that were unique and everlasting. Otto Erich Deutsch states the B-flat Major Piano Concerto may have been premiered by Mozart himself in an academy concert by clarinettist Joseph Bähr, which took place in Jahn’s Hall on the 4th of March, 1791. The material from the exposition is presented again, however the second theme is now presented in the key of the first theme.
